Privacy, data and confidentiality

Lucid is run by Inside Outside Therapy and follows UK data‑protection law (GDPR) and professional counselling standards for record‑keeping. Personal information is collected only for contact details, assessment information and brief session notes) and is stored securely for a set period before being deleted or anonymised in line with professional guidance.

Session content is confidential and is not shared with employers, colleagues or family members without your explicit consent, except in rare circumstances where there are serious concerns about your immediate safety or that of someone else; this limit is always explained at the outset.

Lucid uses Konfidens as a secure, cloud‑based practice‑management system used by healthcare professionals to organise appointments, records and communication in one place. It allows clients to book online, receive automated reminders and pay electronically, reducing missed sessions and admin for everyone. For Lucid, it provides a confidential space for notes and paperwork, helps keep data GDPR‑compliant, and gives employers confidence that the programme is being managed professionally and consistently.
